In a nutshell, the American Airlines representative lied to me and I trusted her. She told me they do not serve any nuts. Airlines need to be trained on what a "nut" is- tree nut is NOT a peanut-there is a big difference. Education and training sorely needed.

My 2 boys traveling as unaccompanied minors were kicked off a Korean Airlines plane (Delta partners) enroute from Atlanta to Manila via Seoul after informing agents and flight attendants that one of them had severe peanut/tree nut allergy. Then they were left stranded in Seoul by Korean Airline agents!

Delta made the announcement saying no nuts would be served due to a nut allergy on board. Passenger wanted his nuts and only put them away after questioning our family if we carried an auto-injector.

WestJet provided outstanding service and we felt very safe with their knowledge, protocols, and care.

JetBlue crew was super considerate! I would definitely fly them again even if the flight is more money than a flight on another airline!

The flight attendant said that there is "Nothing she can do, that Business Class customers expect to be served nuts and there will be outrage if they did not."

This was our first flight with our 18 month old since she was diagnosed with a peanut allergy -JetBlue rose to the occasion. Great flight!

How disheartened I am of this Air France airline experience, I can’t truly put into words. They made me feel like a hinderance. I was embarrassed because they were rolling their eyes at my disclosure of a nut allergy. But for them to then insist that the vegetarian wraps were ‘for us’ in a tone that was rude and the fact that the wraps they had specifically given to us (we didn’t choose them) actually contained peanuts was downright dangerous. Obviously there is a disconnect as to what a food allergy is.

While Southwest doesn’t serve nuts, they refused to make an announcement about my sons peanut allergy once someone onboard was eating them. You could smell the nuts and unfortunately my son got hives. The flight attendant was sarcastic and said well you do have epinephrine with you right ? We told everyone around us ourselves.
