When I booked our JetBlue flight online (Flt #149, JFK to PSP flight was on April 13th 2019), I noted my daughter’s multiple food allergies (13 allergens). I also noted my husband’s (peanut & treenut allergy), which by the way was only diagnosed at age 51 (adult onset!).
When we arrived at the airport, I asked the JetBlue gate personnel for pre- board, which they happily obliged. As I always do when I fly, I also informed the inflight crew as I boarded of my family’s multiple allergies, and told them we carry all of my daughter’s food and multiple auto injectors. Before takeoff, the JetBlue flight attendant created a buffer zone of several rows informing passengers they were to refrain from consuming any nut products, and told them they would have to move their seats if they didn’t want to comply. Excellent service, and as my 15 year old stated, she’ll be a lifelong customer! |
