We took a family vacation and flew JetBlue and stayed at Beaches Resorts. Beaches plus JetBlue equals a winning food allergy combo for a great vacation!!

Beaches Resort Plus JetBlue Airways = Fabulous Food Allergy Vacation!

We took a family vacation and flew JetBlue out of JFK (10/2019). From my initial contact with the airline they were pleasant and more than accommodating. They allowed me to pre-board and wipe my son’s seat. Once everyone was on board, they asked the 3 rows in front and behind us to please refrain from eating nuts during the flight. The steward and stewardess were so kind and pleasant in the way they presented this that I’m not sure even the most cranky passenger could have refused. My son felt very safe and comfortable the entire flight!
Thank you JetBlue!!

Beaches:From the moment we arrived at Beaches, the staff was kind and understanding regarding my son’s severe peanut and tree nut allergies.
We had booked a villa with butler service. Upon arrival the butler asked me if anyone had food allergies before I even told them! Several hours prior to each meal they would ask myself or my son what he would like for his next meal. Almost nothing was off limits. Any restaurant on property, almost any menu item. He could chose what he would like and they would prepare it in a nut free area and bring it to him. He was served meals at the beach, the pool, and even if we were eating at a different restaurant than where he ordered from!
Each time we sat down to eat, they would ask if anyone at the table had an allergy and my son’’s nut free meal would be served with ours.
Each day and night, snacks and desserts would be provided separately for him.
Each child who was signed into camp was noted whether or not they had any allergies and counselors carried each child’s epi pen with them until the child was signed out.
On top of all these things, the resort was beautiful, accommodations were amazing and my family, including 4 children ranging from ages 6-12, all had a fantastic time. I would highly recommend this resort to ANYONE! But especially for those with food allergies.
