Note from Lianne No Nut Traveler: All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd., also known as Zennikkū or ANA, is the largest airline in Japan. It is my recommendation to always bring your own food. I am heartened reading the story below but I must caution you, recalls happen, mistakes happen, cross contamination happens. Up in the air you cannot get to medical attention quickly. In my humble opinion, no airline meal is worth it.
Testimonial: We had a wonderful experience with ANA airlines recently 5/19.
We ordered the 27 allergens free meal for my kid. We also requested to wipe the chair. When we were about to board the plane, the ground staff informed us that they were aware about our daughter’s allergies and the flight crews were aware.
When we were on the plane, a crew member came by and asked the details about what our daughter is allergic to and took notes. They asked if we would like them to make announcement for others to be made aware of the peanut allergy. They also showed us the snack before serving to make sure we agreed.
We were hesitant to let our daughter had the meal until we asked if they had the ingredients. Since then they remembered to show us each time they brought the meal. My daughter was very happy to be able to enjoy all safe meals on board. Ana to Pn/tn/dairy/pineapple
