Westjet was simply exhausting to deal with regarding nut allergies. I rang and emailed well ahead about my nut allergy and I was told that flight crew would make an announcement.
When I got on the plane staff subsequently told me that they don’t make announcements. I then basically had to beg for one and eventually with persistence got one. They also didn’t do anything about the buffer zone which I actually paid for via their medical form.
I was terrified for 2 weeks about my journey home only to be met with the same battle and fight for a announcement.
I would never fly with them again.
