Our family has not flown with United in many years due to our past bad experiences with their disregard to our daughter’s severe nut allergies. However, her high school team booked our flights for a competition and we decided to try them again due to some positive feedback we had read on the No Nut Traveler stories. So happy we did.
Our two flight attendants went above and beyond for us when we boarded. We were invited to board early to clean her seats. Our attendants kindly asked all of our fellow passengers to refrain from eating nuts they may have brought on board. We had not even asked them to do this for us. They did it on their own in such a nice way that our fellow passengers were happy to help. They did not serve nut products on our flight. They checked on my daughter frequently and asked her all about her allergy when we had landed and stayed on board to thank them.
These two lovely women wanted to be educated on how they could serve allergic passengers better. And to top it all off, they gave us each a voucher to fly again with United… to take a mother-daughter trip in the future. Amazing. Way to go United! These two flight attendants are exemplary employees in how it should be done.
