We fly Southwest several times per year with our peanut allergic 7 yr. old. We notify the airline when making our reservation about the allergy and check in early at the airport to get our “peanut dust allergy” boarding pass. They have always allowed us to pre-board and wipe down our area. They do not serve peanuts on the flight.
I stopped asking Airlines to make an announcement about the allergy and asking patrons to refrain from eating peanut snacks brought on board because the request was usually not granted. I was extremely surprised on this last flight when this announcement was made without any prompting from me!! Thank you Southwest for making this extra effort to help keep my son safe in the air!!
