My daughter was traveling with United Airlines and was told that they do not allow pre-boarding for passengers with a nut allergy because it is not considered a disability. However, when searching the United Airlines website, it states that they do allow pre-boarding. Eventually, she was allowed to pre-board.
The most shocking part of the experience happened after everyone had boarded. Michelle, a flight attendant, walked up to my daughter, pointed at her, and said, “She is the person that has the nut allergy.”
This was a first for us. I think Michelle needs additional training. My daughter was so embarrassed.
