We are always nervous to fly with our son who has a peanut allergy. When possible we fly Jet Blue because of their policy and the accommodations they make for passengers with peanut allergies. However, this March 2018, we planned a trip to the Bahamas, and decided to try United because Jet Blue does not fly directly from Newark to the Bahamas.
United was very accommodating on both the inbound and outbound flights. We were allowed to board first, so I could clean my son’s seat. The flight attendant also told the passengers in front and behind us of our son’s peanut allergy and asked that they refrain from eating peanuts during the flight. All United personnel we encountered were professional and accommodating.
