Our family was flying home from a vacation in Florida. All our previous flights we had no issues until this flight- our final leg.
We pre-boarded our Delta plane and wiped down our seats for past contamination. Once the other passengers were seated, the flights attendants made an announcement stating “no nuts will be served, because we have a nut allergy on board.
About half way into the flight, a man across from us pulled out a bag of peanuts and started eating them. My husband alerted him immediately that the airlines announced a nut allergy and our son is allergic to peanuts. He said he didn’t hear the announcement and then began to question us on how severe the allergy was. He asked if we needed an EPI Pen. Once we said yes, then he decided to put away the Peanuts. We could tell that he wasn’t very happy about it.
My son was very quiet the rest of the plane ride, I am not sure if he wasn’t feeling good but I sure was anxious.
