We flew to Israel, August 2017. We upgraded to first class (thank goodness for points!) with our three children. We were able to pre-board to clean the area because we were flying 1st class. I am not sure if they would have let us if we were not in first class?
Once we were seated the flight attendant said hello. I immediately told her that my daughter had a severe almond allergy and couldn’t have any nuts. “Of course, we see this all the time” she replied.
Not a half hour later, and she put a little cup of warm almonds on Emma’s tray table. Emma immediately said “I can’t I am allergic”. “Oops I forgot ” she replied. I then told the flight attendant “if you forget she could become anaphylactic”. Thank you United for “forgetting”!!
