On February 15, 2026, I flew to Florida on JetBlue Airways. When booking my flight, I made sure to indicate my nut allergy. Upon arriving at the airport, I alerted the gate staff, and they confirmed it was noted on my reservation.
I asked if I could pre-board to wipe down my seat, and they had no issue accommodating that request. Once onboard, I informed the flight attendants about my allergy. They proactively notified the passengers seated around me and asked them to avoid consuming nut products.
I had a great experience throughout the trip. I’ve consistently had positive experiences with JetBlue, which is why I choose to fly with them frequently. I don’t understand why more airlines don’t follow their lead—providing reasonable accommodations for people with food allergies makes flying both safer and far less stressful.
