We flew Allegiant air from St. Pete, Fl to Grand Rapids, Mi and back this past week. We had an amazing experience!
Each flight I pre boarded to clean everything and place a disposable seat cover on my son’s seat. I had also printed stickers and attached them to the covers. First flight, I let the crew know as I was boarding that I would be prepping our seat for safety purposes. I had previously talked to the airline to make them aware of the food allergy, but the second flight I just went right to work prepping the seat.
On the second flight, an attendant approached and asked if there was a food allergy. I responded yes to peanut and she asked if it was airborne. Thankfully it is not, so I told her just ingestion and skin contact. She said ok and told us about her kid with food allergies. She also asked if I was carrying epi pens, which I was. Both flights went without incident and we are now more confident in flying.
