Tami Caperton has flown between Dallas and Grand Rapids for work more times than she can count.
But on July 12, that familiarity ended at 30,000 feet, when a meal she’d eaten nearly closed her throat.
Caperton was bumped to first class at the last minute on the flight. Before food service began, she told a flight attendant she has a nut allergy.
The flight attendant acknowledged the allergy and served Caperton her drink before handing out the plane’s snack of hot nuts to other passengers.
