On Thursday, March 12, 2026, my daughter took a Delta Air Lines flight from Miami to JFK at 7:40 a.m. She approached the gate agent and requested to preboard so she could clean her seat area due to her severe tree nut allergy.
The attendant told her to step aside and call Delta because there was no note on file indicating her allergy. We have flown many times with various airlines and have never needed to notify them in advance of her allergy. We have always been allowed to pre-board to clean her seat area.
I emailed Delta to express my disappointment and am currently waiting for a response.
