After many years of inconsistent and downright rude handling of peanut/nut allergies, Delta got it right for us on this flight.

Delta got it right. Flying with nut allergies.

Both of my children (now adults) have peanut/nut allergies. When they were younger, we experienced very inconsistent handling of their allergies with Delta Airlines. Some flights, we were allowed to pre-board and wipe downseats, other times the children were actually offered peanuts after talking to the flight attendants about their allergies. For awhile, we did road trip vacations and flew more expensive and time consuming routes to avoid Delta flights.

This time on 3/10, 2020, when I talked to the gate attendant, she said she had my daughter’s allergy noted. She said no problem with pre-boarding to wipe down the seats AND she moved us to a row that was empty so we didn’t have to share the third seat with someone. The row in the front of us was also empty. The flight attendant came to talk to my daughter about her allergy. Everything went smoothly on the return flight also. Kudos to Delta.
