Yesterday, I took a flight with British Airways from Glasgow to Palma with my son who has anaphylactic peanut and tree-nut allergies.
They were AMAZING! They let us board early and clean the area; did four separate announcements relating to his allergy; stopped the selling of nut containing products; and even checked on him regularly throughout the flight.
We overheard them very politely asking a nearby family what kind of chocolate they were getting out of their hand luggage and if it contained nuts, it didn’t but it was so kind that they checked. My son felt very safe flying (not the usual feeling of unease when traveling) and the people sat around us were very understanding of my son due to the lovely way in which the announcements were made. So impressed with the manner in which they treated our family and the respect shown for food allergies!
