5/22/2024 We are flying on American Airlines with my 3.5yo son, who is anaphylactic to many tree nuts, from Chicago to Sydney via LAX. For the 16+ hour flight from LAX to sydney, we would typically have two meals, however American Airlines refuses to provide any allergen / ingredient information for their meals, nor do they have an allergy safe option. They code-share this flight with Qantas, which has nut-free meals available, yet American Airlines does not.
As the flight is so long, I am shocked that as an American company, they are not provided to acomodate the basic needs of those with allergies, namely to at least make ingredient lists available.
