She then proceeded to tell us that the policy of the airline is not to refrain from serving nuts because they cannot control what others bring on board. She said she can lose her job for not serving the nuts and that if anyone in first class does ask her for the nuts she will "definitely have to give it to them because when people fly in first class, they "Expect Their Nuts".
I just called SAS about the flights we have in Sweden and to get back home and am trying to proactively address the snack issue and the airline staff member ultimately told me I could NOT put a note regarding the nut allergy on the flight, they would not make any accommodations and if I wanted to go without the nuts I should find another airline. I am HORRIFIED!!!
