We had indicated nut allergies for our three sons when making our reservations. We were allowed to pre-board the aircraft on both flights, to wipe down seats for past contamination. Thanks Southwest for making our Disney travel safe and magical!

Southwest plus Disney = Magical Ending!

We spent a week at Disney (and they are superb with handling food allergies). We flew Southwest to and from Orlando. We had indicated nut allergies for our three sons when making our reservations. We were allowed to pre-board the aircraft on both flights, to wipe down seats for past contamination.

On our flight home from Orlando, the flight attendant greeted us as we entered and cheerfully said, “You must be the Golden family!” She explained their protocols, that they no longer served peanuts (we knew this but it was nice to hear again) and that the served pretzels are produced in a facility that also processes nuts (we also knew that but it was great to hear that the attendant knew about shared lines and equipment.)

All in all, it was a great flight!
