United First Class from San Francisco to Tokyo insists on serving the "warm mixed nuts" even though our family of five (in first class) requested that do not given that two of our three kids have severe nut allergies. In previous years, they served a different snack to accommodate us. This time they did not - causing severe anxiety in me and my children.
JFK Jet Blue crew was proactive about my life threatening food allergy while the LA Crew would not let me board without a letter absolving them of all responsibility for my safety. Long story short, our suitcases were not taken off the flight so now my husband and I were stuck in LA without our suitcases, without a hotel room, and without any transportation back to NY.

We explained to her we are a military family travelling to serve our country, moving from a base in Turkey where all families recently had to be evacuated due to the dangers surrounding the base. We explained how the US government had purchased our tickets 2 months prior, had specifically asked to fly with Delta because of its policy on peanut allergies, had the governmental travel agency contact Delta so that Delta could be aware a peanut allergic child would be on board and yet, we were switched to a different airline and had received no notice of such change.
