I flew Spirit Airlines from Detroit to Fort Lauderdale.
I spoke to the gate agent about my peanut allergy. They informed me pre- board with the priority passengers so I could wipe down my area for past contamination.
When we boarded, they made the “buffer zone” announcement and everyone complied. I didn’t have to worry about a thing- they didn’t even offer peanuts to the passengers in the entire section!! They may be a discount airline, but they don’t discount passengers safety!!
